Abstract
Idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome (IHES) is a rare multisystemic disorder with a high incidence of cardiac involvement and a poor prognosis. Here, we present the unusual case of a patient with mitral dysfunction caused by IHES who underwent valve replacement three times because of recurrent thromboembolic events. We found that bioprosthetic valve replacement is the best intervention for people with IHES.
