Abstract

Vascular and thoracoabdominal fistulas are rare side effects of dialysis and should be promptly diagnosed and treated if patients present clinical symptoms. This case report describes a 46-year-old female polycystic kidney patient at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. The patient’s treatment was changed to hemodialysis following peritoneal dialysis complicated by a thoracoabdominal fistula, and a catheter was used to puncture her vascular fistula. We also review the literature on thoracoabdominal fistulas and vascular invasion.
